About The Position

Koorsen is hiring an experienced Security Systems Installation Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana. The technician installs security products and systems—including intrusion, video surveillance, access control, intercom, and monitoring—and works with customers to help them understand how their systems function. The role requires professional interaction with customers, vendors, and coworkers, compliance with safety practices and company policies, and openness to continual learning. Salary is $19–$45 per hour, depending on experience. The stated schedule is 7:45 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Have 4–8 years of experience installing security systems, access control, and CCTV.
Pass drug and background screenings.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
Use a cell phone and phone apps effectively.
Lift and carry at least 50 pounds; push and pull more than 75 pounds.
Climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.
Be able to talk or hear while performing the job duties.

Nice To Haves

Security, fire life safety, or low-voltage experience.
Access and video manufacturer certifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A basic understanding of IT functionality.

Responsibilities

Install intrusion, video surveillance, access control, intercom, and monitoring products and systems.
Install security products and systems according to drawings.
