About The Position

We are seeking a Security Installation & Service Technician APPRENTICE to join our team! As an apprentice, you will travel to various locations and job sites with an experienced technician and learn to install or repair security systems based on customer specifications and location restrictions. This can include burglary & fire alarm systems, surveillance cameras, install smart locks, access control, speakers, and more. The ideal candidate has experience with technology or similar electronic products, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and an analytical way of thinking.

Requirements

Ability to demonstrate the use hand tools such as power drills, cutters etc.
Ability to climb ladders and lift at least 40lbs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and listening skills and be a team player
Must have reliable transportation and clean MVR
Must have clean background. A background check will be performed before hiring.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in the security industry field IS NOT REQUIRED

Responsibilities

Travel to various locations and learn 'on the job' daily
Assist in troubleshooting problems in security systems, and make repairs or replacements
Assist in installing new security systems, including electronic locks, thermostats, alarms, CCTVs, and more
Help to maintain appropriate equipment, and restock vehicles and supplies as needed
Help to maintain excellent, accurate logs of work completed at all times through our software
Rotate phone call emergency tech support with other security technicians (averages 1 week every month)
