About The Position

The Security Systems Administrator is a critical role within the Security Department, responsible for facilitating the administration, installation, upkeep, and repair of electronic/mechanical access control hardware, software systems, and electronic key control cabinets. This role is also responsible for developing and maturing critical casino components, including physical security strategies, asset protection, electronic access control, key control, and identifying gaps in controls, processes, and policies. The objective is to assist the Security Manager with locksmith and access control tasks for the entire casino to ensure a functional and efficient environment for guests and Team Members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Three years of experience as a locksmith, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • One year of experience in working with various electronic access control systems and key management systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of various types of physical security to include user identity and access accounts and controls, automated identity access management systems, and their functional requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract that must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, including knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

  • Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL) by Associated Locksmiths of America.
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Security Professional (CPP) certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low voltage locking devices including electric strikes, magnetic locks, standalone electronic locking devices, programming of devices, and exit hardware.
  • Coordinate vendor work related to lock hardware/access control, including pulling, terminating, and connecting cables, mounting sensors, door control hardware, and dressing cables.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all keys, locks, secured doors, safes, and electronic access control equipment.
  • Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment used in the performance of duties.
  • Assist the department with the issuance and documentation of prox cards, take-home keys, keys within the electronic key control system, and locks.
  • Create and update equipment maintenance history reports.
  • Maintain appropriate service and repair records.
  • Monitor work done by contractors and vendors performing work on physical security technology and equipment, troubleshoot hardware and equipment issues, and return access control/alarm systems to proper operating condition.
  • Estimate the cost of proposed locking device installations or revisions and make recommendations for hardware types.
  • Read plans and blueprints, inspect projects to ensure compliance with applicable rules or regulations, determine the scope of work, materials needed, and their cost and availability.
  • Develop and maintain casino key inventories and other related equipment, and process purchase requisitions as required.
  • Record purchases, maintain database inventories, and perform a physical count of inventory.
  • Implement, troubleshoot, repair, and program computerized access control systems.
  • Work with the Security Administrative Assistant to reconcile actual stock counts to computer-generated reports and investigate any irregularities.
  • Create and maintain troubleshooting and operational documentation for all systems under management at a technical level.
  • Author knowledgebase articles documenting fault root causes and their respective resolutions.
  • Provide and receive cross-discipline training to ensure maximum availability of all systems under management.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Shipping and Receiving, and the Finance Department to document the accountability of all keys/locks from initial receipt to destruction.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology Team Members to conduct operational testing and ensure system maintenance is conducted for reliability of systems.
  • Liaise with the Compliance/Risk Department, Nisqually Tribal Gaming Agency, and Washington State Gambling Commission to manage and maintain all access control measures in accordance with established policies/procedures, internal controls, tribal gaming regulations, state compact, and federal code requirements.
  • Provide technical and programming support to security department leadership.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs.
  • Set up and maintain an accurate database for the electronic access control system and ensure sufficient audit trails and documentation.
  • Work with Team Members and vendors to identify and resolve system problems or issues.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting internal/external guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
