About The Position

SMX is seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Security Information Technology System Administrator to provide comprehensive support to the Army Special Programs Directorate (ASPD). The ideal candidate will be comfortable executing Information Technology Management processes in a secure environment and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to create, author, and brief repeatable frameworks and analyses. This role focuses on providing insights into potential vulnerabilities, stakeholder requirements, and necessary evolutions to a client’s portfolio, aiming to identify, understand, and mitigate various risks. A strong understanding of fundamental security concepts, risk management, and network infrastructure is essential. The candidate should possess an entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of processes and projects, understanding the operational context, and advocating for improvements.

Requirements

  • Extremely detail-oriented, able to run security processes end-to-end, noting key details, extracting next tasks, and identifying gaps in datasets.
  • Able to work independently to pull together security reports and briefings along with other deliverables, drawing from disparate meetings, emails, documents, etc.
  • Customer service oriented and an excellent communicator in multiple formats (writing, verbal, etc).
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience.
  • Able to manage work orders and subordinate staff.
  • Task leadership experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working with SAPCO – Army SAPCO ideal.
  • CompTIA Security+ or higher certification.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Requires full-time on-site support.

Responsibilities

  • Managing visitor and resident access control and badging
  • Providing administrative/business process support for processing Program Access requests
  • Delivering applicable security education and training for employees
  • Providing technical and planning support for Special Access Program (SAP) security meetings and other events, including coordination, visit access requests, drafting agendas, slide decks, and talking points.
  • Setting up, tracking attendance, operating VTC equipment, taking meeting notes, recording action items, and finalizing/distributing minutes for SAP security meetings and other events.
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams to create, implement, refine, and disseminate mixed-method frameworks and approaches.
  • Updating or creating required documentation (e.g., policies, security classification guides) to achieve outcomes.
  • Independently facilitating workshops, meetings, and training across the lifecycle of a project.
  • Serving as a liaison to subject matter experts across highly diverse mission fields.
  • Providing advice and recommendations to client leadership and other cross-organizational management.
  • Performing security and office management administrative duties.
  • Assisting the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with security audits, inspections, and the maintenance of required documentation.
  • Maintaining the property book and coordinating with other building tenants.
