About The Position

Responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of all Security Associates on assigned shift to ensure the protection of life and property at the property.

Requirements

  • Two years supervisory experience required.
  • Must be a New York State licensed Security Guard.
  • Minimum of two years in law enforcement or related area required.
  • Must possess excellent observational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
  • Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
  • Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution.
  • Ensures the quality of operations in the Security Department on assigned shift.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
  • Protects company assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.
  • Directs the flow of Security Reports to the proper individuals within the company, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Advises Security Associates on assigned shift of duties and responsibilities, and ensures that they are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the Security Department by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and terminating Associates, as needed.
  • Reviews all Daily Activity Reports and prepares Shift Reports for Director of Security.
  • Coordinates with the Surveillance Department when Security discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Observes, documents, videotapes, and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property.
  • Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.
  • Reviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies, as needed.
  • Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Make suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind.
  • Maintains a series of critical keys, accessing locked areas, as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.
