About The Position

Sabey Data Centers is hiring a Security Supervisor in Austin, TX. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee day-to-day security operations while building strong relationships with employees, customers, and security partners. Sabey is looking for someone with experience in physical security, data center operations, or another mission-critical environment who brings strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills. In this role, you’ll: Oversee contracted security services and support officer training and development. Support access control, CCTV, alarm, and visitor management systems. Respond to security incidents and support investigations, audits, and risk assessments. Partner with operations and security vendors to maintain a safe, secure, and customer-focused environment. In this highly visible role, you’ll help safeguard a mission-critical environment while strengthening the systems, partnerships, and security practices that protect Sabey’s people, customers, and operations. As Security Supervisor, you will help lead the day-to-day physical security operation supporting Sabey’s Austin data center environment. You’ll oversee contracted security services, help ensure physical security systems operate effectively, and drive consistent execution of site security standards, procedures, training, and customer requirements. Working closely with Operations leadership, physical security and systems teams, and vendor partners, you’ll have the opportunity to identify and close security gaps, respond to incidents, support audits and risk assessments, and continuously improve how security services are delivered. This role is well suited for a security professional who can combine sound judgment and operational discipline with strong relationship-building skills in a high-security, mission-critical environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or a related combination of education and experience.
  • Physical security or mission-critical environment experience, with leadership, supervisory, or team oversight experience preferred.
  • Experience with access control, CCTV, and physical security technologies preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting audits, incident investigations, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a high-security environment.
  • Ability to respond efficiently and effectively during emergency and crisis situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships across teams, leadership levels, customers, and business partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and security platforms.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, training, and professional development.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and apply automation and AI-enabled tools to improve team performance and security operations.
  • Ability to respond to security systems issues outside standard working hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee contracted security services and ensuring alignment with post orders, SOPs, customer requirements, and Sabey standards.
  • Deliver and track site-specific security officer training covering access control, incident response, emergency procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct officer knowledge assessments and coordinate corrective training when gaps are identified.
  • Review the ticket management system to ensure requests are completed accurately and closed in a timely manner.
  • Create and deliver monthly security reports requested by customers.
  • Oversee daily operation and monitoring of access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and visitor management platforms.
  • Serve as a first-line responder for physical security incidents, conducting investigations, documenting findings, and escalating appropriately.
  • Complete physical security program audits, inspections, and monitoring activities in alignment with Sabey standards.
  • Conduct site-level risk assessments and implement approved mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with the Security Systems Engineer on system maintenance, upgrades, testing, and security-system incident response.
  • Maintain accurate security documentation, including daily activity reports, incident reports, access reviews, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Support emergency preparedness equipment checks and execution of emergency action plans.
  • Leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to strengthen reporting, documentation, training tracking, and operational efficiency.
  • Reinforce Sabey’s core values and security culture while building strong relationships across the organization and with external partners.
