About The Position

This role involves supervising, planning, and scheduling security activities for Security Shift Supervisors, as directed by management. The position requires assigning work to Security Officers, establishing priorities, and training, inspecting, and evaluating their performance. Recommendations for employment, promotion, and termination of security personnel are also part of the responsibilities. The supervisor will respond to non-routine incidents, ensure appropriate actions and notifications are made, and supervise and evaluate security reports for accuracy and completeness. A key aspect is ensuring all incidents are thoroughly investigated and that department policies, objectives, and performance standards are established, administered, and evaluated. The role also emphasizes teamwork, supporting colleagues, and fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, organize work and train Security Officers in the performance of their duties.
  • Demonstrate and understand management's goals and objectives.
  • Advanced computer skills and working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to carry a firearm and have the appropriate firearm registered with local law enforcement agency.

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) years’ experience in casino security or the law enforcement field.
  • One (1) year experience in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, plan and schedule security activities for the Security Shift Supervisors as directed by management.
  • Assign work to Security Officers and establish priorities.
  • Train, inspect and evaluate Security Officers for alertness, appearance and proper performance while on duty and correct deficiencies.
  • Recommend the employment, promotion and termination of security personnel.
  • Respond to all non-routine incidents in a supervisory capacity ensuring appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
  • Supervise and evaluate security reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all incidents are thoroughly investigated and appropriate action is take and notifications are made.
  • Ensure establishment, administration and evaluation of department policies and objectives, including standards of performance.
  • Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members and create an energized, positive work atmosphere.
