About The Position

Guardian Service Industries, a 4th generation family-owned company established in 1918, is seeking a Security Guard Supervisor for a luxury commercial building in NY. The company provides a comprehensive range of facility management services including janitorial, security, pest control, and engineering & operations staffing across the East Coast and New England. This role requires flexible availability, including weekends, and involves daily service tasks depending on the specific role. Requirements

• A minimum of 1+ years of security supervisor experience
• Valid NYS Guard License
• 8 hour + 16 hour certificates
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Neat and professional appearance
• Remain flexible to ever changing environments and schedules
• Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard
• Reliable and consistent transportation to and from work sites

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols of the site interior and perimeter to identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
• Evaluate situations and make logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work.
• Coordinate expedient responses to emergency conditions, including fires, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
• Handle undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons and property.
• Monitor site for any unusual activity and report via radio to the supervisor on duty.
• Report any alarms similarly.
• Maintain surveillance, including security camera footage, and reporting of any suspicious persons and/or packages.
• Execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures.
• Adapt physically to the changing needs and priorities of the site.
