About The Position

Fort Worth Water is hiring a Security Supervisor to lead and coordinate security operations across multiple critical utility sites. In this leadership role, you'll oversee contracted security staff, respond to intrusion alarms, and ensure safe, secure operation in a 24/7 municipal environment. You'll also manage access control systems, support emergency response planning, and help maintain compliance with security policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in security, law enforcement or a related field
• Four (4) years of security or law enforcement experience
• One (1) year of complex administrative lead/supervisory experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass Drug Screen & Physical

Nice To Haves

• Additional years of supervisory experience working from multiple locations
• Previous utility security experience
• Experience with coordinating schedules for 24/7 operations
• Experience with card access control and video management system (VMS)
• Level III Security Guard Training
• Experience using Maximo or other similar inventory/work order management system

Responsibilities

• Respond to intrusion alarms at offsite facilities and maintain security measures
• Oversees, coordinates, and supervises security guards at various plant locations prioritizing and assigning work
• Ensuring staff is trained and maintain policies and procedures
• Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
• Monitors various contracts with security companies and general contractors
• Performs the more technical and complex tasks of the work unit, including developing and initiating emergency response plans.
• Coordinates with other divisions, departments, outside agencies and citizens regarding security and safety 24 hours a day
