The Security Supervisor – Second Shift Lead is a full-time, 12-month leadership position responsible for overseeing and directing security operations during the school’s second shift. Working under the direction of the Director of Security, this role serves as the on-site leader for afternoon, evening, and weekend operations, ensuring continuity of command, operational excellence, and a safe environment for the entire Chapin community. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising security staff assigned to the second shift and ensuring the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, parents, visitors, and the building and overseeing security needs at school events. This position requires professionalism, strong verbal and written communication skills, a customer-service-based approach, sound judgment, and demonstrated knowledge of security best practices in an educational environment. The standard academic-year schedule is: Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm Saturday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm This role requires flexibility based on school needs, including special events, performances, athletic competitions, admissions events, and other community programs. Overtime hours and schedule adjustments will be required as needed. During the summer months, when school is not in regular session, scheduling may be adjusted to reflect operational needs, construction projects, camps, or reduced campus activity. The successful candidate will also be expected to work some holidays as operational needs require.
