About The Position

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 with a mandate to provide meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians, primarily in security guard and related services. CGL serves Central and Southwestern Ontario, offering customized security solutions including uniformed guards, mobile response, by-law enforcement, and identification services. This posting is for an existing vacancy for a Commissionaire to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment to serving clients and employees, enhancing organizational success.

Requirements

Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
The ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols outside in rural areas in all weather conditions.
Use of Force Level III
Customer service/reception/administrative skills
The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

Nice To Haves

Level I Reliability Clearance preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
Maintain effective communication
Respond to calls for assistance
Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
Regular foot patrols outside in all weather conditions
Make sure the entry into the work site is always monitored
Other duties as may be required by the client or Regional Manager
