About The Position

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all security operations across multiple shifts. This position ensures continuous 24/7 security coverage through the supervision of an internal security team, while coordinating supplemental weekend coverage with external security contractors.

Requirements

3-5 years of security or law enforcement experience. Preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Knowledge of CCTV systems, alarm systems, access control, and key management practices.
Ability to respond effectively during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with security software and Microsoft Office applications
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisory experience an asset.
First Aid/CPR certification an asset

Responsibilities

Ensure effective 24/7 security coverage for the facility across all shifts.
Identify and address security vulnerabilities and operational risks.
Develop and maintain security schedules for internal staff and contracted weekend security personnel.
Coordinate daily security operations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and after-hours situations as required.
Oversee and maintain facility security systems, including CCTV camera systems, alarm systems, access control systems, and key control and lock management.
Complete incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation.
Supervise, train and support a team of security staff across three shifts.
Monitor staff performance, attendance, shift coverage, and overtime requirements.
Conduct performance evaluations, development & coaching for direct reports.
Ensure that the security team follows company policies, procedures, and applicable security regulations.
Coordinate with contracted security providers for weekend and absentee coverage
