About The Position

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all security operations across multiple shifts. This position ensures continuous 24/7 security coverage through the supervision of an internal security team, while coordinating supplemental weekend coverage with external security contractors.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of security or law enforcement experience. Preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, alarm systems, access control, and key management practices.
  • Ability to respond effectively during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with security software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience an asset.
  • First Aid/CPR certification an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective 24/7 security coverage for the facility across all shifts.
  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities and operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain security schedules for internal staff and contracted weekend security personnel.
  • Coordinate daily security operations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and after-hours situations as required.
  • Oversee and maintain facility security systems, including CCTV camera systems, alarm systems, access control systems, and key control and lock management.
  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation.
  • Supervise, train and support a team of security staff across three shifts.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, shift coverage, and overtime requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, development & coaching for direct reports.
  • Ensure that the security team follows company policies, procedures, and applicable security regulations.
  • Coordinate with contracted security providers for weekend and absentee coverage
