About The Position

MagMutual’s Information Security team is looking for a summer Security Intern who is curious about cybersecurity and wants real world experience in a professional, team based environment. During your 10-week Paid Summer Internship, you’ll work alongside experienced security professionals and gain hands on exposure to how organizations protect data, manage risk, and respond to cyber threats. This internship emphasizes learning, mentorship, and practical experience, not just observation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field
• Understanding of information security concepts
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information responsibly
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily information security operations and security program activities
• Support security awareness and phishing initiatives, including tracking results and creating reports
• Help document and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
• Assist with risk assessments and third‑party/vendor security reviews
• Support vulnerability management by reviewing findings and tracking remediation efforts
• Participate in incident response preparation, documentation, and post‑incident reviews
• Collaborate with IT, Privacy, Risk, and Audit teams on cross-functional projects
• Research emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices and share insights with the team
