About The Position
Market of Choice is seeking a full-time Security Specialist to join our Market of Choice Loss Prevention Team. Market of Choice is a growing, local company with excellent benefits and opportunities for professional development. As a Security Specialist, the ideal candidate will be familiar with the operations/implementation of general security functions, will have previous customer service experience and will focus on employee and customer safety.
Requirements
- Valid OR drivers license and reliable transportation
- Professional, courteous, and calm attitude
- Excellent observation and planning skills
- Ability to think clearly under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of local & state laws
- 18 years or older
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency using MS Office
- Previous experience in security
Responsibilities
- Act as a visual deterrent for criminal activity in the store
- Partner with Store Management to determine the safest approach in dealing with criminal activity or disruptions in the business
- Have the ability to de-escalate tense confrontations through the use of superior customer service
- Observe and report unsafe activities and conditions
- Help create a pleasant in-store atmosphere for our customers
- Implement store policies and keep secure records
- Perform tasks as directed by the Loss Prevention department
