About The Position

Contact Energy is hiring a newly created Security Specialist role within its Security and Infrastructure team. The role provides dedicated security capacity across Trading and Corporate, working closely with squads to help them consider security risk, requirements and practical solutions early in their work. The Security Specialist will support a varied portfolio, which may include a major Corporate platform upgrade, work connected to the Trading Domain, and controls for new technology initiatives. The role translates technical risk into plain business language and works with teams to find pragmatic ways forward. It also contributes to the wider security chapter by sharing knowledge and taking ownership of a complementary capability area. The position is best suited to someone able to work flexibly from Wellington or Auckland, enabling in-person connection and collaboration. Flexible working is supported where it works for the individual, team and business. Applicants must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.

  • Strong communication and consulting skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas in business language.
