About The Position

Koniag Technology Solutions, Inc, a Koniag Government Company, is looking for a highly qualified, experienced, and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Security Specialist (Part-Time) with intimate knowledge of visitor procedures. The Security Specialist will support KTS and our government customer in Quantico, VA at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Laboratory Division and execute coverage 24/7/365. This position requires a Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligibility and the willingness and ability to pass a CI Polygraph. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act.

Requirements

  • Must possess final Top-Secret personnel security clearances and must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) special access.
  • Minimum education required is a bachelor’s degree in any field and three (3) years security experience in relevant fields, such as industrial security, physical security and computer/network security – OR – a minimum of five (5) years of experience in any security related field.
  • Must be skilled in creating complex spreadsheets (i.e. Excel, etc.), in preparing briefings (i.e. PowerPoint, etc.), Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly.
  • Must be able to provide security briefings and debriefings.
  • Must be able to provide comprehensive written communications.
  • Must perform all duties in an extremely professional, customer-service oriented manner.
  • Willingness and ability to pass a CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Perform security operations and support services necessary to achieve all required performance outcomes.
  • Be flexible and willing to alternate schedule to staff posts during designated working hours.
  • Execute security operations across all required functions.
  • Maintain continuous situational awareness.
  • Support access control, personnel security, and physical security operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Support incident response and emergency procedures.
  • Perform duties across multiple security disciplines as required.
  • Use the FBI access control databases, including the FBI's Phoenix and the SOPU Gatekeeper visitor database.
  • Conduct Scattered Castles and/or DISS verifications as requested.
  • Process incoming Visitor Access Requests (VAR) and enter information into the appropriate database.
  • Coordinate VAR information with the appropriate FBI Security Division personnel.
  • Prepare electronic communications (ECs) in Sentinel as required.
  • Be responsible for outgoing clearance transfer procedures, obtain proxy access, and assist as necessary.
  • Process FBI Limited Access Request (LAR) paperwork, including coordinating approvals/denials with the FBI Security Division, notifying the point-of-contact, entering details into the database, and preparing associated EC.
  • Issue badges and IDs in accordance with policy and utilize the badge system as directed.
  • Monitor CCTV video.
  • Conduct perimeter checks.
  • Coordinate with Quantico Security Operations Center (QSOC) for emergency response and alarm activity.
  • Screen visitors and their belongings with an X-ray machine and a metal detector. Conduct visual checks if the X-ray machine and/or metal detector is not available.
  • Complete all trainings required/provided by the customer to insure proper handling of equipment.
  • Assist with escort duties as needed.
