About The Position

Analyzes, plans, advises, operates, or evaluates the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the physical security field within the past five years.
  • DLA experience is a plus
  • Must have experience drafting business correspondence and written communication.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have experience in following policies and procedures
  • Must be accurate and have good analytical skills.
  • Must have the ability to organize and coordinate workload to meet deadlines.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software.
  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.
  • Position requires U.S. Citizenship, a United States Government background check and may require a U.S. Government SECRET Clearance.
  • Must have a current United States Government SECRET level security clearance or be able to successfully obtain the required clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, evaluating, maintaining, and/or operating systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
  • Responsible for program implementation, program evaluation, identifying and resolving security related issues, and advising organizational leadership on appropriate Physical Security, Operational Security (OPSEC) and Antiterrorism/ Force Protection (AT/FP) measures.
  • Responsible for evaluating, maintaining, and/or operating systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials; and implementing policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
  • Ensures new employees receive required Security training and all employees receive required Security refresher training.
