About The Position

This position supports the United States Central Command J2 Directorate through the SSO. The security expertise of the individual will be vital to the operations and security of the command. The employee will witness the impact of their work through the completion of contractual deliverables to the customer. The work schedule is 0800-1600.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of related security experience or Associate’s degree with experience working at a COCOM, or deployed SSO with two of the following: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (DoD), experience with wireless security and a strong Physical Security background and experience using AMAG and DS CCTVB; OR Expertise using JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS or equivalent Personnel Security System, SETA program.
TS/SCI w/CIP Security Clearance Required

Responsibilities

Provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to support the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2-SSO) in managing the Command Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security Programs.
Brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA).
Update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance.
Provide input into CENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage.
Inspect and draft written feedback in support of the Command Inspection Program.
Coordinate, track, document, brief, train and issue courier authorization in support of the Courier Authorization Program.
Coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery and pickup of classified material and provide SME guidance for forward deployed units.
