What You Will Do: Pratt & Whitney’s Government Security Compliance is seeking a detail-oriented Security Clearance Processing Specialist to support personnel security operations. This role is responsible for managing clearance processing activities, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and serving as a point of contact for employees, managers, and government security offices throughout the clearance lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of Military, Security, Cybersecurity or Investigations Analyst experience within a NISPOM government regulated environment; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Active U.S. government issued Secret level security clearance OR the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in relevant Security-related field.
  • 1+ years of analyst experience managing security clearance processes and Continuous Vetting Updates tools.
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual) or similar government regulations, including SF86, DISS, NBIS, and 32 CFR Part 117.
  • 1+ years of experience managing security systems such as DISS, NBIS, NISS, SIMS, and other DCSA related databases.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Experience conducting audits and reconciliations of security records.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop SOPs and process documentation.
  • Project coordination experience related to working with government officials, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and principles (CORE/ACE, SixSigma).
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate across the organization, as well as suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage personnel requests for access to classified information for all cleared Pratt & Whitney sites.
  • Process and manage personnel security clearances (e.g., initial, reinvestigation, upgrade, reinstates, CV Updates, and separations)
  • Ensure all clearance packages are accurate, complete, and compliant with NISPOM requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between employees, management, and government security representatives
  • Ability to navigate tasks in DISS, NBIS, LiveScan, SWFT, and FieldPrint.
  • Facilitate Continuous Vetting Updates for employees.
  • Conduct fingerprinting for in-process employees or CAC (Common Access Card) requests.
  • Verify employee citizenship as needed for other Business Units.
  • Review SF86 submissions for adequacy and completeness.
  • Track and guide new clearance requests to completion.
  • Oversee and ensure proper execution of the employee debrief process.
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to internal customer inquiries and assess type and volume of request for process improvement.
  • Facilitate Requests for Action (RFAs) from the government.
  • Track and manage DOHA (Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals) cases.
  • Action eligibility notifications received from the government.
  • Perform weekly audits and conduct monthly reconciliations of security records.
  • Submit monthly control tower metrics to FSO.
  • Identify and forward employee responses appropriately based on reporting requirements or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain and manage status tracking sheets and security folders.
  • Develop standardized messaging templates and create a process library for standard work, notes, and case knowledge base.
  • Develop and maintain standard work documentation for all responsible tasks.
  • Adapt to competing work priorities, company and/or government changes
  • Other duties as directed by COT manager.
