About The Position

Planet Technologies is seeking a Security Solution Architect to support federal projects. The role focuses on the security of enterprise systems, cloud environments, and security architectures, and on interpreting federal cybersecurity policies and requirements for a federal agency and its components. The architect translates policy, law, directives, standards, Executive Orders, and other requirements between technical and non-technical contexts, communicates their meaning effectively, and works with organizational leadership and units to identify or provide solutions.

Requirements

• Previous experience interpreting federal government policies, laws, directives, standards, Executive Orders, and other cybersecurity requirements.
• Senior-level cybersecurity experience designing secure enterprise systems, cloud environments, and security architectures.
• Deep understanding of how changes to federal policies, laws, directives, standards, Executive Orders, and other federal requirements affect a federal organization.
• Cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to review, translate, and operationalize the impact of potentially broad-reaching changes.
• Previous experience translating requirements between non-technical and technical contexts.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate requirements to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC, five days a week.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications should include, but are not limited to, CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF, SC-100, AZ305, CISM, CASP, or GIAC.

Responsibilities

• Interpret federal government policies, laws, directives, standards, Executive Orders, and other cybersecurity requirements for implementation within the federal agency and its components.
• Translate requirements between non-technical and technical audiences.
• Communicate policy and requirements effectively to technical and non-technical personnel in written and verbal formats.
• Interpret the nuance of governing documents and identify or provide solutions in partnership with organizational leadership and units.
• Help ensure the security of enterprise systems, cloud environments, and security architecture.
