About The Position

Sizemore Security Services is seeking a Security Site Supervisor to join their team. This role involves directing Security Team Members to ensure the overall security of a client facility. Responsibilities include enforcing access control, observing and reporting violations, conducting security patrols, responding to emergencies, and completing required reports. The position requires flexibility to be present on all shifts and on-call 24/7. The Site Commander reports directly to the Vice President of Security for Sizemore, Inc.

Requirements

Must have flexibility to be a presence on all shifts!
On call 24/7!
Must have a Texas Level 2 Guard Card!
High School diploma or GED required.
Should have at least 5 years of security or law enforcement supervisory experience.
Be at least 18 years of age and be mature.
Have no convictions for any felony offense.
Have no misdemeanor convictions for any crimes of moral turpitude.
Have dependable transportation.
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds without restriction.
Must maintain satisfactory physical fitness standards throughout the term of assignment.
Be able to physically restrain an individual in situations when an arrest must be made or when directed to do so.
Have normal hearing and eyesight.
Must possess full color vision.
Have no fear or phobia that would prevent full performance of duties. (i.e., fear of heights, etc.)
Be willing to participate in or conduct training sessions and meetings when scheduled.
Be able to work in harmony with others.
Must possess good problem-solving skills.
Successfully complete all initial training, site-specific training, and in-service training.
Read and comprehend policies and procedures / rules and regulations written or spoken in English.
Communicate utilizing the English language and interface effectively in a pleasant “customer service” tone with personnel authorized to be upon the client’s location.
Possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm; as well as diplomacy and professionalism when dealing with any person in the work environment under all circumstances.
Operate communication equipment that could include hard wired or cellular telephone systems, two-way radios, paging systems.
Ability to prioritize calls for assistance.
Ability to pass a criminal background, a clean MVR check (if driving), and employment verification.
Ability to pass a pre-employment and random employment drug screens.

Two-year associate degree or higher desired.

Responsibilities

Directs the Security Team Members to help maintain overall security of client facility by enforcing access control.
Observes, corrects, and reports violations of client’s rules and regulations.
Performs proactive security patrols.
Responds to emergency situations.
Completes required reports.
Performs other duties as required by the client and Sizemore Security Services.
Controls vehicle and personnel access in accordance with established procedures.
Performs walking security, fire prevention and safety patrols.
Runs for short distances in response to emergency situations.
Follows established procedures to obtain external emergency support from law enforcement, fire and medical support agencies when needed.
Prepares and presents oral and written reports.
Adheres to all safety requirements of client and Sizemore, including, but not limited to, wearing personal protective equipment (gowns, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
Operates specialized equipment when trained and authorized (i.e., Closed-Circuit Television Systems, computer systems, etc.).
Interviews, hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels, and relieves employees of duty.
Attends and participates in meetings as requested or directed by the client and / or Sizemore.
Conducts Site specific training to orient new officers.
Completes performance evaluations on all new Officers at the completion of their 90-day probationary period and annually thereafter.
Continuously reviews all security related Policies and Procedures to ensure the proper intent of the policy or procedure is achieved.
Presents briefings and reports to staff leadership as required.
Maintains administrative / operational / training files.
Performs other administrative duties as assigned by Sizemore.
