About The Position

Allied Universal Services is seeking the position of an Armed Security Site Supervisor. This role involves supervising and coordinating the delivery of quality services to an assigned customer, acting as a liaison between customers, Operation Managers, and security officers. The supervisor will manage site staff, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline. The position requires the ability to work in various environments, occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, climb stairs/ramps/ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods. Intermediate computer skills are necessary for operating technology and utilizing scheduling and billing software to generate reports. The role also involves communicating staffing needs, assisting in candidate identification and interviews, and ensuring officers receive appropriate training and performance management.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services to an assigned customer.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, Operation Managers, and security officers.
  • Supervise site staff and provide coaching, recognition, and discipline.
  • Handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
  • Utilize scheduling and billing software to produce reports that require interpretation and action for effective business management.
  • Communicate staffing needs to the Operation Manager, which may include using the Requisition process and assisting in identifying and interviewing quality candidates.
  • Assure that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills.
  • Oversee performance management, including coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, and recognition.
  • Ensure that employee grievances are heard with the help of appropriate branch or region HR support employees.
