About The Position

Allied Universal Services is hiring a full-time Professional Security Shift Supervisor for a university in Morningside Heights, New York. The role is on the evening shift, with candidates expected to be flexible Monday through Sunday. The hourly pay range is $23.55–$24.55.

The Security Shift Supervisor supervises and coordinates the delivery of quality services during an assigned shift. The supervisor serves as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. Responsibilities include supervising staff and providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range. The role involves frequent interaction with the public, the client, and staff, so strong customer-service skills are important.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal professionally and effectively with all levels of personnel and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare frequent written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Intermediate computer skills for using innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Exceptional customer-service and communication skills.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• For driving positions: valid driver’s license and at least one year of driving experience; clean driving record meeting the stated limits; insurance at least at the level required by company policy; and ability to operate a vehicle safely.

Responsibilities
