About The Position

The Security Shift Manager is responsible for the overall management of the shift and personnel, which provides security and a safe environment while ensuring the protection of guests, team members, and Live! assets. This role is crucial for managing programs, processes, and procedures that ensure the protection of assets, including the safety and security of guests and team members, and for reducing and controlling loss time injuries. The position involves communicating and implementing department procedures, assisting in training development, investigating incidents and guest complaints, and completing first reports on injuries. The Security Shift Manager also provides input for performance reviews of supervisors and officers.

Requirements

A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in security or law enforcement.
At least three (3) years of work experience in a casino environment.
Four (4) - year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.
Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
Ability to solve complex problems
Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
Ability to maintain mental concentration for signified period.
A variety of tasks and deadlines require an irregular work schedule.
Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.
Resort is large and requires ability and energy to move about it with a true sense of urgency.
Ability to be alert at all times.
Dexterity will be to perform day to day activities and during an emergency.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).
Ability to run, stoop, bend and reach outward and above the head.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to ride a bicycle.
Ability to operate and ride a Segway, golf cart and or other vehicles.

Responsibilities

Manages programs, processes and procedures which ensures the protection of the assets of Maryland Live to include the safety and security of guests and team members.
Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
Communicate and implement department procedure in accordance with director and internal controls.
Assist in development and implementation of Security Department training.
Investigate incidents and/or quests complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
Completes and investigates first report on injury
Provides input and assists with the preparation of performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
Other duties as assigned.
