About The Position

Responsible for managing the daily shift operations and activities of the Security Department to ensure goals and objectives are achieved in accordance with the Director of Security. Determines manpower requirements and ensures adequate personnel have been scheduled to provide maximum-security coverage with minimum labor costs. Maintains and keeps updated list of trespassed and or banded guests. Administers training programs for assigned security personnel that will ensure effective security of gaming and money handing experience. Counsels, guides and instructs security personnel on the proper performance of their duties. Performs the function of hiring, training, and developing security personnel skills, reviewing security personnel performance and administering discipline. Develops implements and maintains required internal and external reporting procedure. Cooperates with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies of mutual concern. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all guests. Overall administrator of the shift’s security environment, reporting to the Director of Security. Under the direction of the Director of Security, conducts surprise and routine inspections and drills to check the efficiency of all security measures and controls. Under the direction of the Director of Security and in collaboration and cooperation with law enforcement agencies, investigates crimes committed such as fraud and theft.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent
  • One to two years of casino security and/or related experience
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge and appreciation of security measures and controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Ability to display professionalism when dealing with difficult guests
  • Strong leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Effective analytical skills
  • Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
  • Physically able to restrain combative guests and to move about property
  • Able to run on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs
  • Respond to visual and aural cues
  • Ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a mentally and physically stressful environment
  • Ability to operate company motor vehicles responsibly at all times
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
