About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Security Shift Commander to join their team. This role requires an individual with a keen sense of observation, the ability to anticipate risk, and act accordingly. The Security Shift Commander will supervise the security team on their given shift, train new officers, and help manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage. This position involves patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers, requiring physical ability to move around for the entire shift. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between staff and management, ensuring client security requirements are met, and will handle customer service duties like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors. They will also manage access control, patrol sensitive areas, verify identities, control access to secure areas, react quickly to threats or incidents, check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras, document incidents, respond to alarms, and collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents to ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

Requirements

State security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of one year of security supervisor experience. Preferably two years
First aid certification is an asset
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience is a plus
