About The Position

Assists the Security Lieutenant in maintaining departmental goals and oversees all activities on an assigned shift. This role involves developing procedures to improve operational quality and efficiency, suggesting safety and loss prevention policies, and ensuring superior guest service through interdepartmental collaboration. The Security Sergeant also interfaces with law enforcement agencies, maintains city-wide security awareness, monitors incident reports, and participates in departmental meetings.

Requirements

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Excellent leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills required.
Must be able to qualify in accordance with company firearm's requirements.
Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

Suggests and develops procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
Suggests safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
Interfaces with applicable departments to ensure customers receive superior guest service.
Identifies and resolves employee and guest concerns.
Interfaces with all applicable law enforcement agencies.
Maintains networking capabilities across the city to ensure that all properties have an awareness of security threats and potential criminal activity that could threaten guests, employees or assets.
Monitors incident reports, ensuring accurate and effective handling, and initiates Investigation process.
Participates in departmental brainstorming meetings.
Assists with training of staff on assigned shift.
Other duties as assigned.
