About The Position

Robinhood is building the future of finance, aiming to democratize it for all. This role is part of the Security Technical Risk team, which is crucial for maintaining Robinhood's high standards of "Security Always" by protecting customers, partners, and the business from security and technology risks. The team collaborates across the enterprise globally to integrate industry and regulatory best practices. This internship focuses on developing improved processes for information security risk management, leveraging AI for risk analysis, and creating tools to communicate risk effectively to leadership. The role is based in the Menlo Park, CA office, requiring at least 3 days per week in-person attendance, emphasizing the value Robinhood places on in-person collaboration for innovation and community building.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Information Systems (rising junior/senior preferred) with a graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Coursework or practical experience in information security concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, SaaS, PaaS) and interest in how they relate to enterprise risk.
• A strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to connect systems and communicate ideas clearly.
• Curiosity about data privacy, security tooling, and the role of AI in risk management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across security, legal, governance, compliance, and business units to understand security risk practices.
• Support the development of process automations and improvements in the GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) space.
• Help implement or integrate AI-based tools to enhance security risk assessments and decision-making.
• Work on real-world problem-solving using your technical and analytical skills.
• Communicate findings and project outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
