About The Position
The Security Response Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital premises. This role involves greeting individuals, managing access, patrolling the grounds, de-escalating conflicts, and responding to security-related emergencies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Driver’s license
- Previous law enforcement, military and/or corrections experience
Responsibilities
- Greets patients, visitors, staff and other visitors and provides information to assist them in getting to their specific designations
- Manages wheelchair distribution and provides security escorts for guests and employees to and from vehicles when requested
- Patrols premises to ensure security of patients, visitors and staff
- Proactively addresses and de-escalates tense situations and/or conflicts
- Responds to requires for security assistance and works with local law enforcement as needed
- Responds to all hospital emergency codes, excluding medical codes
- Performs other job duties as assigned
