About The Position

Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems (LM RMS) Program Security and Compliance is seeking a Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) to safeguard sensitive information and warfighting capabilities. The CSSO will work with program security experts, government civilians, and military members to support military operational objectives by providing a safe and secure operating environment. This role is fast-paced and requires the use of education, experience, and Lockheed Martin resources to protect critical capabilities.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance within a 5-year scope, or the eligibility to reinstate a TS clearance w/ 5-year scope.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP & SCI access(es).
  • US citizenship required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP or SCI programs.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the NISPOM, DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals and/or DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills to include verbal and written, as well as tact and diplomacy.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of the CDSE SAP Mid-Level Management Course Pre-requisites (or must be able to successfully complete within 1 year of employment).
  • Intricate knowledge of DoD 5205.07, DoD 5105.21, ICD 705, and other DoD policy and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans.
  • Experience as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian.
  • ICD 705 Construction Certification
  • SAP Mid-Level Certification
  • Works well independently and in group settings with substantial CPSO and/or CSSO experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.

Responsibilities

  • Administering the SAP Nomination Process by processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SAP & SCI Nomination packages.
  • Conduct annual SETA requirements in conjunction with the program; provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post Travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary.
  • Classified document & media control to include maintenance of logs tracking documents in transition.
  • Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government.
  • Administrative Security functions such as organizing and filing all administrative program security paperwork.
  • Maintaining all end of day logs, safe checks, visitor logs and pass down logs.
  • Assist the government with physical security and provide security escorting for uncleared personnel as required.
  • Process and track incoming and outgoing Visit Authorization Requests.
  • Conduct self-inspections; manage preparations for and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel.
  • Assist the Lead CSSO and Team with additional security support as required by the RMS Special Programs Manager and the local Customer.
