About The Position

Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems (LM RMS) Program Security and Compliance is seeking a Senior Security Representative to join their team. This role, located in Hanover, MD, involves safeguarding Sensitive Compartmented Information and warfighting capabilities. The selected candidate will act as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), responsible for day-to-day site security operations. This includes administrative security functions, organizing and filing program security paperwork to ensure compliance with USG regulations, conducting self-inspections, and preparing for government security inspections and audits. The CSSO will also administer the SCI Nomination Process, conduct annual SETA requirements (security indoctrination, debriefings, travel briefings), and manage classified document and media control, including maintaining logs for documents in transition. The team provides comprehensive security support services, including Security Management, Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Security Education and Training (SETA), Access Control, Media Control, and Construction Security Management. A Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including NISPOM, SCI Security Manuals, and SAP Security Manuals, is required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 NISPOM; DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Manuals; and/or DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals.
  • Must be team-oriented with an ability to still work independently and multi-task.
  • Must have 5 years of Industrial Security Experience.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to include verbal and written, as well as tact and diplomacy being key.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD 5105.21; ICD 705; 32 CFR Part 117; and other DoD policy and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans.
  • Experience as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian.
  • ICD 705 Construction Certification
  • The successful completion of the Facility Security Officer Certification, or the Contractor Special Security Officer Course, or the CDSE SAP Mid-Level Management Course Pre-requisites is preferred or must be able to successfully complete within 1 year of employment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.

Responsibilities

  • Acting in the capacity of a Contractor Special Security Officer.
  • Administrative Security functions, organizing and filing all administrative program security paperwork to remain Inspection Ready and compliant with USG regulations.
  • Conduct self-inspections; manage preparations for and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel.
  • Assist the Security Team with additional security support as required by the RMS Advanced Programs Manager and the local Customer.
  • Administering the SCI Nomination Process by processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SCI Nomination packages.
  • Conduct annual SETA requirements in conjunction with the programs; provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post Travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary.
  • Classified document & media control to include maintenance of logs tracking documents in transition.
