About The Position

Manning the construction entrance during a store remodel. The associate helps maintain security and safety by managing access to the building, ensuring people sign in and out, and collecting temporary badges. During Grand Opening events, the associate directs vehicle traffic and pedestrians, calls for shopping carts to be gathered, thanks customers, and follows directions from the asset protection manager. Associates must perform tasks safely and consistently with corporate policies and applicable state and federal laws, while demonstrating the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of related retail experience.
• Familiarity with industry or technical terms and processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct customer vehicle traffic in the parking lot during Grand Opening events and maintain the flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
• Call for carts to be gathered and thank as many customers as possible during Grand Opening events.
• Follow other directions from the asset protection manager during Grand Opening events.
• Collect all temporary badges daily.
• Ensure each person entering the building signs in and out each day without exception.
• Contact the asset protection manager and page a supervisor or PIC when someone needs building access but lacks the required documentation or identification.
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies.
• Promote and follow company initiatives.
• Perform essential job functions safely and with or without reasonable accommodation.
