About The Position

Seeking an experienced security officer for a part-time day shift position. This role requires working Sundays each week from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM, a 12-hour shift. The job involves patrolling a large warehouse facility with multiple warehouses, primarily using a cart but also including some foot patrols to check doors, buildings, and gates. Responsibilities include observing and reporting, deterring vandals and unauthorized persons, conducting hourly checks, logging all activities in Silvertrac, and reporting any issues such as lights out, damage, open doors/gates, leaks, fires, or broken windows. The officer will also be responsible for calling emergency services when needed and must be able to work alone. The company provides cold water and sports drinks, has a cooling area inside, and supplies bottled water year-round, with additional sports drinks during hotter months. The role is 90% patrolling on a cart.

Requirements

Current AZ unarmed guard card.
Minimum of 2-3 years of security experience (military experience accepted in lieu of security experience if an AZ guard card is held).
Clean driving record.
Driver's license.
Proficiency in using Silvertrac for all reporting and incident reporting.
Ability to work alone at night.

Responsibilities

Patrolling a large warehouse facility with multiple warehouses.
Conducting patrols primarily on a cart, with some foot patrols required.
Observing and reporting activities within the facility.
Deterring vandals, homeless individuals, and other unauthorized persons.
Performing a minimum of 2 hourly checks, 30 minutes apart, each hour.
Logging all activities and incidents using Silvertrac.
Checking for lights out, damage, open doors/gates, leaks, fires, and broken windows.
Reporting all observed issues in detail.
Calling police, fire, and ambulance as needed.
Working alone at night.
Cleaning up after oneself.
