As a Security Protection Officer Full Time Afternoon in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare setting, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor and employee activity, and support a secure, welcoming environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a pharmaceutical manufacturing location while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing access control systems, challenging individuals as appropriate, and reporting access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including access points and perimeter areas, and document observations and security-related incidents.
