This role involves installing, programming, testing, repairing, and servicing a variety of systems and equipment, potentially including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation. The specialist will act as the primary technical interface for customers, providing support and training to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. They will work with basic blueprints, schematics, and manuals, and utilize standard test instruments and hand tools for equipment repair. The role also includes operating systems to demonstrate equipment, commissioning new systems, analyzing performance, and writing routine programs. A key aspect is acting as the customer's best service provider at all times. The specialist will consult with engineering on complex issues, advise management on customer satisfaction and product performance, and execute technical aspects of multiple projects, including programming, graphics development, start-up, certification testing, customer training, and close-out documentation. Identifying and communicating potential project risks, and assisting in developing strategies to minimize impact, are also crucial. The role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager to coordinate projects, make recommendations on work quality and scope changes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in customer satisfaction. Other duties as requested or required will also be performed.
