About The Position

RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Security Project Manager in Louisville, KY starting ASAP. This is a direct hire position. The role involves managing commercial electronic security projects from kickoff through completion, overseeing installation teams, subcontractors, and field technicians. The Security Project Manager will coordinate project schedules, materials, clients, and equipment, and serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and vendors. Responsibilities include managing access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and intrusion detection projects, reviewing project drawings, specifications, and scope of work, and tracking project progress, budgets, change orders, and timelines. The role also ensures installations meet company standards, code requirements, and customer expectations, and involves coordination with general contractors and other trades in commercial and new construction environments. The Security Project Manager will conduct project meetings, site walks, and progress updates, support system commissioning, testing, and customer turnover, and assist with troubleshooting and resolving field issues. Hands-on field support may be required during critical phases of installation, programming, and system startup, as well as supporting technicians onsite to maintain schedules and quality standards. Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • Experience managing commercial security or low-voltage projects
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction documents
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LenelS2, Genetec, and integrated security systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, access control devices, and IP-based security systems
