About The Position

SSI is seeking an experienced Security Program Manager to support a new Navy contract in Washington DC starting in late 2026. Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Experience: 15 years professional experience in IT and security management
  • Experience in a security management role within the DoD, Intelligence Community, or a cleared contractor environment
  • Experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) is highly preferred

  • Education: Master’s degree in related field
  • Experience: 20 years’ professional experience in IT and security management
  • Managing a comprehensive industrial security program, including hands-on use of DISS and NBIS for personnel clearances, acting as a Facility Security Officer (FS) in compliance with NISPOM requirements, authoring DD Form 254s, supporting Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) efforts, and successfully managing DCSA security reviews

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all security requirements for a medium sized program to include compliance with DoD and service regulations.
  • Manage personnel security clearances (PCLs), including initiating, processing, and maintaining clearances
  • Experience understanding US Government contracts (containing Security Requirements) within DOD
  • Conduct security briefings, annual training, and foreign travel reporting for cleared personnel
  • Utilize security systems such as DISS, NISS, NBIS to manage personnel security records
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding of cleared personnel, ensuing compliance with debriefing and clearance transfer protocols as well as ensuring proper language in employment agreements and independent contractor agreements
  • Maintain and update security policies to ensure compliance with DoD, DCSA, and other relevant agencies
  • Serve as the primary liaison with DCSA, government security officials, and other relevant agencies
  • Prepare reports and records for management team as needed
  • Prepare for and manage security audits, inspections, and self-assessments
