About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients in industries including healthcare, education, and finance. Officers use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts according to their availability, building a flexible schedule while gaining experience at different sites. The officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts with little or no advance notice. The position is located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, pays $17.63 per hour, and provides weekly pay. Flexible availability across all days and shifts is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
No prior experience is required.
At least 18 years of age, or older if required by the state; 21 years if armed.
Valid driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
Ability to meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, accurately, and informatively.
Active listening and problem-solving skills.
Ability to assess situations, identify critical issues quickly and accurately, and mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
Teamwork and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
Warn violators about rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
Observe departing personnel to help prevent theft of company property and ensure removals are authorized under client requirements.
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Make emergency notifications as necessary according to site Post Orders.
