Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour

Requirements

  • 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • Computer Literacy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic and/or visitor inquiries, and help to deter unauthorized entry or policy violations through visible presence and professional interaction.
  • Support daily operations by preparing reports, noting observations, and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
