Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Computer Literacy

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, documenting conditions and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, restricted access procedures, and other security-related duties based on location needs.
