About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Merchandising Specialist to service retail stores in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. The role involves working independently in the field and offers career development opportunities. A company truck, gas card, iPhone, and company polo shirts will be provided. The job offers flexible start and end times, with no weekends required. The Merchandising Specialist plays a crucial role in achieving sales goals, improving customer profitability, and maintaining partnerships between customers and vendors.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Must have experience in big box retail.
  • Must be able to work safely in a retail construction environment.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Regularly.
  • Must be capable of moving merchandise up and down ladders.
  • Must live within the territory that you support.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Hardware and building material knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Service 15-23 stores on a schedule (weekly or bi-weekly) in specified cities.
  • Service 2 to 3 stores a day within their territory.
  • Work remotely and independently.
  • Merchandise fasteners (nails and screws) in assigned home improvement retail stores.
  • Down-stock products.
  • Install signage.
  • Maintain plan-o-gram layouts.
  • Price displays.
  • Train store employees on different fasteners.
  • Monitor customer warehouse inventory levels and submit comprehensive inventory reports each week.
  • Collaborate with customers and their associates to create attractive sales floor displays.
  • Ensure product is down-stocked and prominently displayed.
  • Ensure inventory counts are accurate.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and the company by addressing customer issues and solving customer problems.
  • Assist customers in creating an organized warehouse for easier product accessibility.
  • Stock sales floor shelves for customers requesting additional inventory management assistance.
