About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients in industries including healthcare, education, and finance. The role offers access to a shift-pickup platform where officers can view and claim open shifts based on their availability and gain experience across different sites. Officers may be called upon to work irregular shifts with little or no advance notice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age, or older if required by state law (21 years if armed).
• A valid driver’s license is required if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively and identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
