Security Person - DAYS
About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, protecting casino assets, customers, and team members. The Security Person will respond to security assistance requests, follow established security protocols, and perform duties in compliance with Colorado Gaming ICMP's. This position involves developing and maintaining effective working relationships, investigating incidents, providing First Aid/CPR when trained, escorting money transfers, and patrolling casino properties. The role also requires reporting violations, maintaining alertness, responding to emergencies, escorting employees to drug/alcohol screenings, and verifying jackpots and fills. A key responsibility is ensuring no person under twenty-one (21) is consuming alcohol or gambling, which includes checking IDs for anyone who appears under thirty-five (35) years of age.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of recent and related experience in security enforcement.
- Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
- Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a good driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from a law enforcement or criminal justice course is desirable.
- CPR and First Aid Certificates are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety procedures.
- Protect casino assets, customers, and team members.
- Respond promptly to requests for security assistance.
- Follow established security protocols to ensure safe work environments.
- Perform duties in compliance with Colorado Gaming ICMP’s.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills.
- Investigate incidents by asking questions, taking statements, securing evidence, and reporting findings.
- Provide emergency First Aid and/or CPR when trained and certified.
- Escort the transfer of money/assets to designated locations and monitor transfers.
- Patrol all Double Eagle Hotel & Casino properties to ensure safety and security.
- Report Colorado Gaming, ICMP’s and safety violations to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain alertness and exercise caution when performing responsibilities.
- Respond to and control emergency situations immediately.
- Escort employees to drug and alcohol screenings when reasonable suspicion exists.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
- Act as an independent verifier for all jackpots and fills as outlined in the Colorado Gaming ICMP’S.
- Ensure no person under twenty-one (21) is consuming alcoholic beverages, gambling, or lingering in a gaming area.
- Ask for ID from anyone who looks like they are under thirty-five (35) years of age.
- Attend annual retraining on Underage Gambling, Alcohol, and checking of IDs.
