About The Position

Signal Security is seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to provide security services at a medical center and other various locations. The officers will conduct foot and vehicle patrols throughout properties, maintain a visible presence, and help ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and residents. Responsibilities include monitoring for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized individuals, deterring undesirable behavior, assisting with general security concerns, and completing detailed daily activity and incident reports. Officers will also be responsible for the care of company vehicles and equipment assigned during their shift, managing daily activities to meet key benchmarks, and de-escalating issues through professional communication.

Requirements

  • Valid Florida Class D Security License.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Pass background check and drug test.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct foot patrols of the medical center and surrounding grounds for approximately 5 hours per day.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized individuals.
  • Deter loitering, trespassing, and disruptive behavior.
  • Provide a visible security presence to enhance safety and security.
  • Assist patients, visitors, and staff with general security concerns.
  • Report incidents, maintenance issues, and safety concerns.
  • Complete detailed daily activity and incident reports.
  • Communicate effectively with management and dispatch.
  • Conduct and deliver various mobile security services while operating company patrol vehicle.
  • Write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift.
  • Consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations.
  • Interact with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship striving to provide peace of mind.
  • Consistently communicate with the Advanced Patrol Officer and/or the Branch Patrol Supervisor to promptly report any customer or property related information and concerns.
  • Be assigned a vehicle that officer is responsible for during their shift to include fueling, washing, interior cleanliness, and inspecting.
  • Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, uniforms, and devices, etc.
  • Manage daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by the Branch Patrol Supervisor such as reporting standards and service quality.
  • Consistently deescalate issues through communication in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Communicate with the Branch Patrol Supervisor to receive and disseminate information through Branch Supervisor Daily Scrum, such as the client needs, route changes, and post order updates to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
