About The Position

The Galt House Hotel is currently seeking a Security Patrol Officer for 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for hotel guests and associates by patrolling the property and monitoring surveillance cameras. The Security Officer will patrol and inspect the property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal activity. They will monitor entrances and exits using the security camera system, greet and assist guests, visitors, and tenants, and lock and unlock doors as required. The role also involves observing and reporting violations of hotel policy and law, deterring criminal activity through presence and intervention, and completing incident reports accurately and in a timely fashion. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check before starting work.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 year of Security experience
Ability to show good judgement and common sense.
Ability to follow directions and directives from supervisors.
Ability to accurately recount situations which they witnessed.
Ability to follow company policy and guidelines.
Professional appearance.
Ability to interact with the public.
Excellent verbal and written abilities to document violations or suspicious behavior.
Ability to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other dangerous incidents.
Keen eye for detail.
Must be able to walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Patrol and inspect property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal activity.
Monitor entrances and exits through use of security camera system.
Greet and assist guests, visitors, and tenants as needed.
Lock and unlock doors including manual overhead doors and large access gates as required.
Observe and report violations of hotel policy and law on the property.
Deter criminal activity or other problems through visual presence and intervention.
Complete incident reports with accurate information and in a timely fashion.
Other duties as assigned.
