About The Position

As a Security Patrol Driver at a university location in the Bronx, New York, you will safeguard the campus by conducting vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and supporting a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with students, staff, visitors, and campus partners while providing customer service and carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while following site-specific security procedures and responding to emergencies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify unusual conditions and report observations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry and exit at academic, residential, administrative, and event locations.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate campus personnel.
