As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Shopping Plaza in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, residents, and staff. This driving position calls for strong customer service and communication skills, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, tenants, and retail personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report policy violations, hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
