As a Security Patrol Driver Flex Shopping Center in Irvine, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, shoppers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or local responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the location, including common areas, parking areas, storefront exteriors, and perimeter zones, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor for property damage, lighting issues, loitering, policy violations, and/or other conditions that could impact daily operations, then report observations through the proper channels.
• Support closing and/or opening activities, assist with directing visitors, and help to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and/or disruptive behavior through a visible presence and professional interaction.
