About The Position

The SOC Operator's responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing security events, managing incident responses, and conducting investigations. A successful candidate should have a strong understanding of security protocols and systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. Ultimately, the role of the SOC Operator is to ensure the security and integrity of our company’s infrastructure, protecting against security threats and potential breaches. Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The SOC Operator position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by providing centrally managed law enforcement radio monitoring with event logging and recording, alarm monitoring of intrusion detection systems, and emergency dispatch, incident reporting and analysis, and remote alarm panel programming.

Requirements

• 1-2+ years in SOC, security operations, dispatch, law enforcement, military, or a similar monitoring environment
• High school diploma/GED
• Experience with CCTV/VMS, access control, alarms, radios, intercoms, and security software
• Strong written documentation and report-writing
• Excellent verbal communication and professional demeanor
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound decisions under pressure
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating 24/7 shifts
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office
• Ability to follow SOPs, escalation procedures, and confidentiality requirements
• Proven work experience as a SOC Operator, Security Analyst or similar role in information security
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and regulations
• Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• Proficient in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in emergency situations
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone)
• Must have a reliable means of transportation Driver's License with a clean record
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Emergency Management, etc. is a plus
