About The Position

The Security Operations Center Intelligence Analyst II will utilize automated technology to provide integrated intelligence and analytics to monitor security, improve incident response, and mitigate risks. Analysts use technology to provide timely, accurate, and efficient tactical intelligence, analysis, and investigative and operational support to increase security response, reduce loss of resources, and preserve the customer experience throughout all of Hy-Vee’s assets. This is an on-site, physical security position. This position is shift work with rotating days off. Days and hours will vary based on open shifts.

Requirements

  • Law enforcement investigative or military intelligence experience, specifically in conducting investigations, analyzing data, analytical thinking, and preparing written reports.
  • Experience in emergency operations centers, military command posts, incident response teams, and investigations.
  • Extensive experience utilizing automated technology, web-based products, and social media.
  • Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within a consensus building corporate culture and effectiveness coaching team members and inspiring teamwork both within his/her direct areas of responsibility and laterally among other work teams.
  • Must possess strong coordination, organization, and liaison skills to help consult in the design and implementation of security program strategies, and the ability to seek and gain consensus on creative solutions to complex security issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Individual must be pro-active and capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor and taking quick action to resolve issues.
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills are critical as is the ability to promote the open flow of information by actively soliciting and listening to the ideas of others.
  • Effective negotiation and excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven ability and commitment to being discreet, tactful, timely and operating judiciously when addressing internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security events and identify potential incidents across the organization.
  • Monitor multiple systems, alarms, and software and execute prescribed actions steps required in a dynamic environment
  • Gather, analyze, correlate, or evaluate information using software, social media, or public records
  • Review alerts, assess risks and prioritize incident investigation efforts
  • Develop security tools and integrations to automate security operation processes
  • Interface with technical and business units to identify the source of the incidents and the appropriate resolution
  • Investigate security incidents and produce accurate and timely reports
  • Assist security teams in gathering incident evidence and remediating issues
  • Conduct forensic analysis as required during the investigation of incidents
  • Validate known intelligence with data from other sources
  • Analyze intelligence data to identify patterns and trends in criminal activity
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports, presentations, maps, or charts, based on research, collection, and analysis of intelligence data
  • Conduct presentations of analytic findings
  • Study activities relating to retail theft, financial fraud, or other corporate threats
  • Predict future threats to corporate assets using gathered intelligence
  • Collaborate with representatives from other government and intelligence organizations to share information or coordinate intelligence activities.
  • Design, use, or maintain databases and software applications, such as geographic information systems (GIS) mapping and artificial intelligence tools
  • Work with our internal teams and customers to proactively identify threats to reduce risk to client businesses and operations
  • Produce concise, written analysis and/or visual presentation of findings to communicate potential risks and impact
  • Quickly understand and deliver company and customer intelligence requirements
  • Use external tools to synthesize data and enhance analysis/alerting services
  • Synthesize raw data to identify credibility of information and deduce relevance to client base
  • Understand and articulate security safeguards required to perform job responsibilities.
  • Safely navigate virtual environments for supporting assigned tasks, as applicable
